Newhaven

Dredger at Newhaven, Sussex. A foggy day. The harbour is being dredged in advance of the creation of the new deep water port for the Rampion wind farm. Very exciting. With @banksjenny

Dredger going back and forth clearing the outer harbour. The harbour needs to be continuously dredged to keep the channel deep enough for the ferry and other large vessels to pass.

it is constantly silting up with sediment from the River Ouse.

Newhaven, Sussex. The Short Arm. Things very quiet in the fog

Climbing the eastern harbour arm, known as THE SHORT ARM.

This new deepwater port area east of here will be used to service the construction of the Rampion Wind Farm. Once again, Newhaven is at the forefront of sustainable solutions. Very exciting.
